At Cornerstone (CSOD), I work as a Senior Web Engineer on a six-member team that manages, improves, and streamlines the CI/CD of CSOD’s global corporate website. I contributed to rebuilding the corporate website, leading initiatives such as redesigning and refactoring the component library with TailwindCSS, improving performance and reducing bundle and first load size.

I wrote data schemas for a Sanity.io headless CMS, contributing to the creation of a self-service content management model. Additionally, I led the initiative to rebuild website navigation, designing a CMS-driven model that replaced static JSON sitemaps. These improvements allowed non-technical staff to manage navigation, create pages, and deploy updates autonomously.

As a Senior team member, I mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and collaborate cross-functionally with product and creative teams, ensuring that technical solutions align with business needs.

Creative Technologist, Frontend Developer

December 2019 - June 2022

I worked as a Creative Technologist on Epsilon’s international Creative Technology team. I used JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and GSAP in order to create cross-platform, interactive digital marketing campaigns and solutions. Additionally, I was responsible for the management of the team’s proprietary JS package manager.

Other responsibilities included integrating third party APIs and libraries, exploring opportunities for product elevation or framework improvements, and implementing viable solutions. My work quality was recognized through top client assignments including Walgreens, Ulta, and Urban Outfitters.

Analyst, Senior Analyst, Team Lead

September 2013 - July 2019

At the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago, I led a 5-person team that analyzed the bank’s derivatives portfolio, investigated hedge regression data, and created financial reporting. I was responsible for improving team efficiency by implementing a Kanban process management workflow.

Additionally, I took the initiative to enhance my skill set and expand my job responsibilities through technology, using SQL server and VBA to automate tasks and create process improvement tools. This led me to develop a passion for code and programming which ultimately led me to transition my career from finance to web development.

Chart Explorer is an interactive full stack web application that allows users to explore the history of the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Built with Spotify’s web API, users can listen to songs throughout history while saving their favorites to a dedicated Chart Explorer playlist. Additionally, users can utilize a birthday playlist feature that allows them to generate a playlist of all the #1 songs on any given birthday. All chart playlists can be saved to a user’s Spotify library.

Tech Stack: React Native - Google Cloud Firestore - Expo - Redux - Spotify API

Built by a team of three, weJay is a collaborative mobile playlist application that allows multiple users to join a password protected playlist, add songs to it, and vote on the songs. As users vote a song up or down, the playlist order rearranges in real time, based on the voting preferences of the users.
